Congratulations on your admission!

We are thrilled that you've chosen to join our campus community. Here are the important next steps that you should be taking:

  • Placement Exams

Once admitted, all freshman students must take the English composition and math placement exams prior to attending orientation. Once admitted, all transfer students must take the English composition placement exam by the sixth week of their first semester, although students are encouraged to complete it prior to their orientation. Students not transferring with their math requirement completed, must take the math placement exam by the sixth week of their first semester, although completion prior to orientation is strongly suggested.

  • Orientation

All students are required to complete an orientation. If you have not set an orientation date, or have questions about placement exams, tours, or new student activities, call the Office of Admissions and Orientation at 313-593-5100. During orientation, students are introduced to the College of Business's curriculum, policies, and procedures. They will have the opportunity to ask questions, talk to the academic advisors and register for classes.

  • Credit Evaluation

Prior to orientation, transfer students will receive a Transfer Equivalency Worksheet (TEW) from the Office of Admissions and Orientation which will show how courses have transferred. Review the TEW to make sure that all courses you've completed are listed and to ensure that you understand the transfer credit you received for each. At orientation, an advisor will explain how the courses were distributed and which courses remain to complete the degree.

  • Financial Aid

If you have not done so already, now is the time to apply for financial aid by submitting the FAFSA. Our school code is 002326.
