Jennifer Bauer is a graduate of the UM-Dearborn. She mentors college students completing Child Development and Directed Teaching in Early Childhood practica. Jennifer teaches Leadership, Advocacy, and Administration in Early Childhood as well as Child Development. She is also an academic advisor in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. Jennifer has worked collaboratively with both Henry Ford Community College and Schoolcraft Community College, developing early childhood courses. Previously, she taught kindergarten, preschool, and was a resource room educator.

Jennifer has a son in high school. Her and her husband enjoy traveling, attending their sonís football activities, and gourmet cooking with friends.

Professional accomplishments include:

  • Serving as the Early Childhood Specialist at the Early Childhood Education Center for the Great Start Readiness Program
  • 2012 Faculty Appreciation Award from the University of Michigan-Dearbornís Department of Athletics and Recreation
  • Presentations at the National Association for the Education of Young Childrenís conferences in Chicago, New Orleans, and Washington DC
  • 2008 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award from the University of Michigan-Dearbornís School of Education
