1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
Online/Virtual

On behalf of a DEI cross-campus collaborative and the Dearborn Facilitator Engagement Program (FEP), we are pleased to offer an upcoming workshop called Change it Up! Bystander Intervention.

Change it Up!

This session brings bystander intervention skills to the university for the purpose of building inclusive, respectful, and safe communities. It is based on a nationally recognized four-stage bystander intervention model to help us intervene in situations that negatively impact individuals, organizations, and the campus community. Specifically, you will expand your skills and confidence to successfully intervene in harmful situations in a learning environment that is safe, nonjudgmental, and fun. Other benefits include:  receiving high impact learning through educational theater, increasing your motivation to intervene in harmful situations, and gaining the ability to assess the effectiveness of multiple options for intervention.

Note: The content in this program has been used for student groups across campus, and is now being offered for University of Michigan faculty and staff. Through the use of educational theater, Change it Up! provides opportunities for participants to discuss and practice how to leverage bystander intervention skills within their campus communities.

This session is intended only for faculty and staff of UM-Dearborn. If you would like to attend the session for student please check Victor's Link
