Internship and Career Management Center Workshops: Context for Success

Wednesday, October 30, 2019

One of the main goals of attending the University of Michigan-Dearborn is to get a job that is in your field and is fulfilling to you, and beneficial for the company or organization. How do you convey a strong message of both what you have done and what you can do, in a way that is engaging, interesting and truly helps an employer visualize you as an asset within their organization?

In this series of 4 workshops, we'll have a different topic each week. These workshops will take place every Wednesday, starting on October 30th and ending on November 20th. These topics build upon each other, so register once and attend all four!

CONTEXT FOR SUCCESS: Be an Entrepreneur of your Career and prepare for different career expectations to unfold. (Oct. 30th)

EXPLORE YOUR PASSION: Take control of your career by learning how to understand your personal aspirations and create a strategy. (Nov. 6th)

DISCOVER OPPORTUNITIES: Fine-tune your personal branding and articulate how your specific skills and abilities would benefit the under-served need of the company. (Nov. 13th)

TELL YOUR STORY: Learn how to market your experience to an employer with a compelling story. (Nov. 20th)
