Public Nights at the Observatory
Wednesday, June 12 to Thursday, June 13
11 p.m.-12 a.m.
Science Learning and Research Center (SLRC)
- Observing sessions require suitable sky conditions. To learn the status of any event, check the Observatory's home page (https://umdearborn.edu/casl/centers-institutes/um-dearborn-observatory) beginning one hour before the event. Inclement weather or other unforeseen adverse circumstances may cause the cancellation of a scheduled event.
- Observing sessions are primarily held outdoors. Please dress appropriately for personal comfort during your visit.
- The Observatory is located on the main campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, in the Science Learning and Research Center (SLRC), on the third floor.
- Those attending a Public Observing Session to fulfill a class requirement or for extra credit should be aware that staff resources are limited during the public session. Plan on being at the Observatory at least 30 to 45 minutes so that you have adequate time to complete the extra credit assignment. Please do not arrive any later than 30 minutes before the end of the event.
