The Department of Language, Culture, and Communication is proud to bring Spanish novelist Cesar Pérez Gellida to campus.

He will be discussing the close relationship between noir literature and criminality. He will discuss current trends in violent crimes in Spain and how noir fiction contributes to shed light on the motivations of the criminal mind. Pérez Gellida received the Medal of Honor of the Spanish Society of Criminology and Forensic Science in 2014 for his thorough research to document his trilogy Versos, canciones y trocitos decarne.
