Join Chancellor Domenico Grasso and Professor Deborah Smith Pollard for the university’s second Thought Leaders session. Thought leaders will be invited to campus throughout the Strategic Planning process to discuss the state of higher education and other related topics.

U-M President Mark Schlissel will talk about the challenges and opportunities facing higher education now and in the future.

About the speaker
Dr. Mark S. Schlissel is the 14th president of the University of Michigan and the first physician-scientist to lead the institution. Since beginning as president in July 2014, he has launched initiatives including Academic Innovation; Biosciences; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Poverty Solutions; and Precision Health. In June 2017, Schlissel announced the Go Blue Guarantee as part of his commitment to college affordability.
