Supply Chain Case Competition Workshop

Saturday, January 15, 2022
9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Fairlane Center South (FCS)

The Supply Chain Association (SCA) is kicking off the Supply Chain Case Competition preparation process. Casework shows students how to solve real-world problems with compelling solutions. The skills learned are highly prized in business.

A business case workshop will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Students can come to simply learn about casework and/or be considered for possible inclusion on the UM-D team competing at the National Undergraduate Supply Chain Case Competition held at the University of Minnesota.

Last year, the UM-D team won 3rd place at the National Competition hosted by the University of Minnesota. The competition brought together sixteen teams, many of which were from the top country's top undergraduate programs in supply chain and operations management (see the full story). SCA competitive juices are already flowing to go even farther at the next competition this Spring!

SCA would like to invite any COB or IMSE undergrad students to consider participating. While there is a strong Supply Chain Management component, solutions involve knowledge of other domains such as Marketing, Finance, ISM, Industrial Engineering, etc.

If you are interested in learning more about the Supply Chain Case Competition Workshop and National Competition, please attend the Callout informational meeting hosted by SCA either at 5 pm, Tuesday, January 11 in FCS Room 187 or Wednesday, January 12 at 5:00 pm via Zoom (Zoom ID: 98326957957 Pswd: SCA2021).

Students who are interested in the workshop must register by Wednesday, January 12 at UMD 2022 SCM Case Competition Workshop.
