Continuing the Vision: An Interactive Experience to Benefit the Environmental Interpretive Center
When the Environmental Interpretive Center opened its doors 22 years ago, it continued the tradition of connecting people to nature that was first started on this site by Henry Ford. Join our Guest of Honor, Dr. Orin Gelderloos, for a reception in the beautifully restored first floor of the historic Fair Lane: Home of Clara and Henry Ford.
Learn from EIC staff and alumni interpretive naturalists how Henry Ford’s vision for his “backyard” laid the groundwork for its future as a natural oasis and outdoor experiential classroom. Fair Lane staff will be available to share insights into the famous family and their home. Try your luck at unique auction items as you explore the historic home. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages in the Pool Room. This event will be an ode to our past and provide the support for an impactful future for the Environmental Interpretive Center.
