Elizabeth Molina, the new UM-Dearborn Health Sciences and Behavioral Sciences Institutional Review Board (IRB-HSBS) liaison, will hold a VIRTUAL "IRB On-the-Road" session once a month for any study team members who would like to have a one-on-one discussion about any questions they may have about the IRB process. The sessions are informal and do not require prior registration. Study members who join the Zoom link will be admitted from the Zoom waiting room on a first-come-first-serve basis to discuss.

A bit about Elizabeth and the IRB:

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is part of the University of Michigan Office of Research. IRBs are mandated by the federal government to review human research protocols to determine that the research follows federal regulations and is being done ethically.

During Elizabeth's On-the-Road consultations, she will answer questions from researchers about the IRB application process, including time frames for review, correction, and approval, as well as technical questions about eResearch, the online tool used to create IRB applications. Elizabeth can give you information about amending approved applications and required continuing reviews as well.
