Applying for Aid

5 Easy Steps to Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships encourages students to complete their FAFSA.

Incomplete FAFSAs cannot be processed by the Federal Student Aid Processing Center. Until the issue(s) can be resolved, the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships cannot make a Financial Aid Award to you. The most common problem is absence of a required signature.

Verification

Requested documents should be submitted within 14 days via Student Forms. We strongly encourage students to submit all documents no later than April 26, 2024, for maximum aid consideration.

No financial aid can be disbursed for the academic year if a student fails to submit the required documentation.

To ensure timely processing of your application for the academic year 2023-24, it is important to note that all required documents must be submitted within 120 days of your enrollment for the year.

Fall semester enrollment end date – December 15, 2023

Winter semester enrollment end date – April 26, 2024.

Summer term deadline – September 1, 2024.

Please note that failure to meet these deadlines could result in a loss of aid eligibility.

Special Circumstances

  • The 2023-24 FAFSA uses 2021 income, current household size, and assets. When there is a change in the family’s ability to pay as a result of a job loss, reduction in child support, divorce/separation, or any other circumstance, the student should meet with a financial aid advisor to determine if completing a Special Circumstances Appeal would be beneficial.
  • The 2023-24 form is available now. For the 2024-25 academic year, the form will be available Summer 2024
