Design is underway to develop stormwater management systems capable of handling the increasing occurrence of heavy rainfall events and the resulting flooding, particularly at the Fieldhouse.  A "500-year event" in June of 2021 overwhelmed the existing stormwater infrastructure at the Fieldhouse, resulting in a complete loss of the wood gym floor.  Stormwater measures will installed during the summer of 2022, and the gym floor will be replaced..

November 2021, the Dearborn campus, through the Environmental Health & Safety department, launched a campus weather monitoring station that allows you to view the weather on campus from anywhere in the world.
