External Grants Received

Public Allies operating site at UM-Dearborn
Tracy Hall, Office of Metropolitan Impact, was awarded $345,800 from Public Allies to establish UM-Dearborn as a Public Allies Operating Partner for the Metropolitan Detroit area to increase the capacity of area organizations to create a measurable impact on community-identified challenge areas.

Distributed data storage and processing framework for distributed grid intelligence (DGI) implementation in FREEDM Systems
Wencong Su, Electrical and Computer Engineering, received $29,963 for a subcontract from the National Science Foundation through North Carolina State University. He will investigate a radically different approach to handle a massive amount of Smart Grid data in a timely and reliable fashion.
