 Unless the college is offering a new degree type/level.
 Unless the new major is unrelated to existing degree program(s) (i.e., it represents a significant departure from programs previously included in the University’s accreditation).
 Unless the change/drop to the major consists of three or more courses (i.e., changing one or two courses does not require MASU review).
 Unless the addition to the major consists of three or more courses (i.e., adding one or two courses does not require MASU review).
 Unless the certificate program seeks Title IV eligibility and consists of 50% or more of new courses developed specifically for the requested program (i.e., the certificate is not a subset of courses from an existing certificate degree program).
Note: All programs seeking the “certificate” designation must receive approval through the curriculum review process and adhere to the UM-Dearborn Undergraduate or Graduate Certificate Policy.
