Small Changes Department Liaisons

Program Purpose: To promote the use of evidence-based small changes in teaching that promote student success. Research from the learning sciences and from a variety of educational settings suggest that a small number of key principles can improve learning in almost any type of college or university course.

Assignment Redesign Department Liaisons

Program Purpose: To increase the use of transparent teaching frameworks, which can equitably promote all college students’ success. Recent research indicates that transparently designed assignments benefit college students’ learning significantly – especially that of underserved students (Winkelmes et. al. Peer Review, Winter/Spring 2016).
