Recording Office Hours

To enter or modify office hours information:

1. Enter the Secure Area

2. Select the Office Hours link from the Faculty Services menu.

If a term has not been selected, the system displays the Select Term page, on which you must select the desired term (If a CRN has not been selected, the system displays the Select a CRN page, from which you must select the desired CRN for the course you wish to view.). Once a CRN has been selected, the Office Hours page is displayed.

3. Enter data in the following fields:

  • From Time (Please use military time)
  • To Time (Please use military time)
  • Day of Week
  • Contact Telephone Number
  • Location
  • From Date
  • To Date

4. Select the Display checkbox to allow your office hours to be available for students to view on the Web

5. Click the Submit button to save your changes. Your office hours are now available for students to view.

If you do not want your office hours to be viewed on the web, clear the Display checkbox. Click the Submit button to save your changes.

You may want to leave the Display checkbox clear if, for example, the term has not started and you are not yet certain of your office information. You may enter and save your entry on the screen and return at a later date to modify/change, and select the Display checkbox for viewing.

6. To copy your office hours to another class, select the class from the Copy To pull-down list. NotePlease pay particular attention to the term attached to the course(s) in the pull-down list. All of your previous term courses are in the list.

7. Click the Submit button to save the changes.

Entering Syllabus Information

This page is used to maintain syllabus information (by allowing you to enter the URL for your course website), learning objectives, required materials, and technical requirements for your course. The information can be either typed in or copied from another source and pasted in.

To enter or modify this information:

1. Enter the Secure Area

2. Select the Syllabus Information link on the Faculty Services menu.

Note: Other Web pages in the Faculty and Advisor Menu also include links to this page. Wherever an Add or Maintain link is displayed in the Syllabus field on a Web page, it can be selected to go to the Syllabus Information page.

If a term has not been selected, the system displays the Select Term page, on which you must select the desired term (If a CRN has not been selected, the system displays the Select a CRN page, on which you must select the desired CRN.).

The Syllabus Information page is displayed.

3. Enter your data in as many of the following fields as desired:

  • Course URL (HTTP:// is required)
  • Learning Objectives
  • Required Materials
  • Technical Materials

Important Note: Please do not enter or change information in the Long Section Title box.

4. Select the Submit button to save the changes.

Faculty Class List
  1. Enter Secure Area.
  2. From the Main Menu, select Faculty Services.
  3. From the Faculty Services menu, click Class List.
  4. Within the Class List menu, you can view all the classes for which you’ve been assigned as the instructor on record.
  5. If multiple pages of classes exist, you can use the arrow keys at the bottom of the page or adjust the number of records per page.
  6. The Subject, Course Title, CRN, Enrollment Count, and Status headings have a toggle that allows you to reorder the listing of courses.
  7. The All Terms section is a drop-down menu that allows you to select a specific term to view only the courses from that term.
  8. Within the list of courses, you can view Course Details for a specific course by clicking the course title. This will open a pop-up window of information that includes Catalog information, Course Description, Syllabus, Attributes, Restrictions, Corequisites, Prerequisites, Mutual Exclusion, and Fees.
  9. By clicking on the CRN, you can view Class Details for that specific course. This includes Class Details, Bookstore Links, Additional Information, Syllabus, Attributes, Restrictions, Instructor/Meeting Times, Enrollment/Waitlist, Corequisites, Prerequisites, Mutual Exclusion, Cross Listed Courses, Link Sections, Fees, and Catalog.
  10. Clicking on the row of a specific course will take you to the Course Information, Enrollment Information, Summary Class List, and Summary Wait List. From this page, you can take a variety of actions.
  11. You can manage your view preferences for the Summary Class List and Summary Wait List by clicking the column icon and selecting or deselecting a variety of options to be displayed.
  12. You can email all students or select specific students from the Summary Class List or Summary Wait List by clicking the mail icon. Additionally, there is a search bar that can be used to find a specific student within the summary list.
  13. A Detail Class List and Detail Wait List are also available by selecting the Detail View option above the search bar.
  14. The Detail View provides additional information within the detail lists of each student.
View Active Assignments

This page lists your class assignments for the past four semesters. There is no term-selection requirement. The system lists the earliest terms first.

1. Enter the Secure Area

2. Select the Active Assignments link from the Faculty Services menu.

Highlights:

Course Title:

Is a hyperlink to the Class Schedule Listing page.

CRN:

Course Reference Number - is a hyperlink to the Faculty Detail Schedule Page.

Syllabus:

If you have not set up a URL link for your course, the word Add is displayed. If you have set up a syllabus, the word Maintain is displayed. In both cases, the word is displayed as a hyperlink to the Syllabus Information page.

Office Hours:

If you have not set up office hours for your course, the word Add is displayed. If you have set up office hours, the word Maintain is displayed. In both cases, the word is displayed as a hyperlink to the Office Hours page.

Roster:

If a class list exists for the class, the word Classlist is displayed as a hyperlink to the Summary Class List page.

If a wait list exists for the class, the word Waitlist is displayed as a hyperlink to the Summary Wait List page.

Detail Schedule:

The word Display is displayed as a hyperlink to the Faculty Detail Schedule page.

View Assignment History

This page displays a list of your class assignments for the past four semesters, regardless of status or term. The most recent term is displayed first.

1. Enter the Secure Area

2. Select the Assignment History link from the Faculty Services menu.

Highlights:

CRN:

The Course Reference Number is displayed as a hyperlink to the Faculty Detail Schedule page.

Course Subject and Number:

Course Subject code and course number are displayed as a hyperlink to the Class Schedule Listing.

Viewing Course Catalog and Class Schedule
  • Enter the Secure Area
  • Click on the Faculty and Advisor link.
  • When the Faculty Services page is displayed, click on Course Catalog or Class Schedule. For information on how to search the Class Schedule. For information on how to search the Course Catalog.
