Georgina Hickey received her PhD in History from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After five years on the faculty at Georgia Southern University, she came to Dearborn in 2001. She is a Professor of History and affiliate faculty in the Women and Gender Studies program and the Urban and Regional Studies program. She has served as chair of the Department of Social Sciences, Director of the Women in Learning and Leadership program, and Masters of Public Administration director. Currently, she is finishing a book on the history of women and public space in 20th century American cities.
