Pre-Pharmacy

As "medication experts," pharmacists are concerned with safeguarding the public's health in matters relating to medication distribution and use and disease state management. What classes do I need to take?

What is the national standardized test?

The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is required for admission to some Pharmacy Schools or Colleges. The best way to prepare for the PCAT is to do well academically in the pre-requisite courses before studying for the PCAT. To become familiar with the PCAT exam, please read and understand the PCAT Guide, published each year, on the PCAT URL

What else should I know?

It is important that you learn and incorporate the Association of American Medical Colleges Core Competencies for Entering Medical Students in your academic and non-academic activities.
