Biography and Education
I worked as a statistician at General Motors Company and Ford Motor Company. My experience is in manufacturing, product engineering, validation and reliability, and global quality where I utilized statistical techniques such as Design of Experiments, Statistical Modeling, Reliability, and Quality Control.
I received a B.S. in Mathematics at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and two masters, M.A. in Pure Mathematics and M.S. in Applied Statistics, at Western Michigan University. I was hired as a summer intern at GM and learned how to apply statistics to industry applications. It was my fortune to work with Dr. W. Edwards Deming and Dr. Gipsie Ranney. I learned about systems thinking, psychology, variation, and theory of knowledge (System of Profound Knowledge)
I enjoy teaching. I like the creativity of finding ways to explain mathematics and statistics, so that, students will gain a passion for this very important subject.
