The UM-Dearborn Police and Public Safety Department and the Office of Emergency Management are hosting an active attacker exercise between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 in the College of Arts, Sciences and Letters (CASL) building.

During the exercise there will be a large police, fire and EMS presence on campus. Agencies will be practicing various tactics. In order to make this exercise as realistic as possible simulated gunfire will occur, you should expect loud sounds and real movements of first responders.

Please note the CASL building will be closed on August 8. Parking lots E7, a portion of lot E6 and F, campus roads and campus entrances/exits also will be affected. Please see the map for details.

In order for this exercise to be successful we need your help. Volunteers are needed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (approximately). To volunteer, please email Laura Drabczyk
