Congrats Class of 2020 and Spring 2021 graduates!
No matter the weather — rain, wind or sun — UM-Dearborn graduates walked across the stage during a week-long celebration of their accomplishments.
The UM-Dearborn Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 celebrated graduation through a series of small on-campus college-centered ceremonies from Thursday, April 29, through Tuesday, May 4.
Graduates and their two guests gathered outdoors in social-distanced pods of three where they were greeted with cheers and well wishes.
The college deans hosted their respective college ceremonies along with Chancellor Domenico Grasso and Provost Sue Alcock alternating the 12 events. Regent Sarah Hubbard, commencement speaker Poet Nikki Giovanni and 2021 student speaker Lena Hakim delivered their remarks via video. Each ceremony had a limit of 400 people.
For students graduating in the ceremonies on Monday and Tuesday, the campus community looks forward to celebrating you. Please be advised that face masks are required and you need to complete the ResponsiBlue app screening prior to the ceremony.
Ceremonies can be seen via photo albums and live stream (weather permitting) on the UM-Dearborn Facebook page. For additional information about this year’s commencement ceremonies, please visit the commencement website.
