Public Allies is changing the face and practice of leadership in communities across the country by demonstrating our conviction that everyone can lead. With sites across the nation, our mission is to create a just and equitable society and the diverse leadership to sustain it.
Grounded in principles of restorative practices and social justice, we recruit non-traditional leaders in order to diversify the face of leadership in the metro Detroit region.

Public Allies Metro Detroit: Seeking Partners
Public Allies Metro Detroit is actively looking for partners to host scholars in the 2018-19 spring cohort of Leadership Academy. Leadership Academy is a five-month, full-time apprenticeship program. Participants are placed in teams of four to six individuals to serve at a local nonprofit organization and work on a community project. Community projects for Leadership Academy are designed to increase engagement of local residents and economic opportunities for their communities.
