Chancellor Domenico Grasso shared the following campus updates at the May 2020 Board of Regents meeting: 

  • UM-Dearborn's virtual commencement ceremony
  • College of Business Associate Professor Jun He’s face masks study that looked at behavior toward preventative measures during a pandemic 
  • College of Engineering and Computer Science staff producing PPE
  • CASL Associate Professor Brenda Whitehead’s older adult study during a pandemic 
  • Associate Professor Sheila Smith was awarded IOTA SIGMA PI’s, the National Honor Society for Women in Chemistry, Centennial Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. The award is given for excellence in teaching chemistry, biochemistry, or a chemistry-related field. 

At the meeting, the following personnel actions were approved.
