Alumni serve as mathematical career guides

UM-Dearborn alumni with a diverse range of experience returned to campus on Monday, Jan. 31 for the Career Paths in the Mathematical Sciences event. The alumni shared career insight with nearly 50 students who are interested in concentrating in mathematics, mathematical science, engineering, computer science, physics and related fields.

The alumni that participated include: David Holm ’86, chief cost analyst, U.S. Army TACOM; Steven Anteau ’09, data specialist, department of biostatistics and research epidemiology, Henry Ford Health System; Thom Shea ’93, IT delivery lead/senior team lead, BCBS Michigan; Danielle (Szabo) Zachary ’03, mathematics and chemistry teacher, Riverview Community High School; Francis Bernardi ’85, FSA, MAAA, financial modeling actuary, AAA Life Insurance Co.; and David Barnes ’10 M.S., executive vice president and general counsel, Atlas Oil Company.
