January 31, 2011

UM-Dearborn has partnered with the city of Dearborn to be a site location for the "Savvy Entrepreneurship Series" offered by the Great Lakes Chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum and the Great Lakes Entrepreneurs' Quest. The series provides early- to mid-stage technology entrepreneurs with guidance on key topics that startups should navigate to realize success.

The next event is Inside the Mind of an Angel Investor, which will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8 in UM-Dearborn's Fairlane Center South Building. This session will include a Q&A panel session with angel investors and venture capitalists who will share secrets of effective deal making.

Timothy Davis, director of iLabs in UM-Dearborn's College of Business, will host the event. "This is a great series that provides information to help high-growth entrepreneurs on campus and in the community," said Davis who worked with the city's Economic and Community Development Department to bring the program to campus.

Free online registration is available through the MIT Enterprise Forum and onsite registration for the general public on the day of event is $40 (cash or check only). Students with valid student ID may attend for free. For more information, visit www.mitgreatlakes.org.
