Entrepreneur Josh Linkner joins UM-Dearborn's College of Business

The University of Michigan-Dearborn welcomed entrepreneur and best-selling author Josh Linkner to campus last week as the College of Business’ entrepreneur-in-residence and adjunct professor of applied creativity.

Linkner is the CEO and managing partner of Detroit Venture Partners, a venture capital firm helping to rebuild urban areas through technology and entrepreneurship.

As previously reported, in his new role Linkner will partner with College of Business and University faculty, staff and senior leadership to infuse programs and courses with his innovative principles. The first piece of the partnership will have Linkner working to transform his best-selling book, Disciplined Dreaming: A Proven System to Drive Breakthrough Creativity, into an educational experience for UM-Dearborn students.

During the welcome reception Linkner was able to meet with students, faculty, staff and alumni and expressed his excitement over the opportunity to work with students in this new role. He shared his thoughts on the importance of creativity and innovation in the revitalization of the region.
