E-book updates

ScienceDirect
Along with journal articles, ScienceDirect includes e-books published from 2008-2010. It includes coverage of engineering, economics, business and management, and selected social science titles. The e-books in this collection are titles published by Academic Press, Butterworth-Heinemann, Syngress and Digital Press, Elsevier Science, Gulf Professional, Morgan Kaufmann, Newnes, North-Holland, and Pergamon.

Berg Fashion Library
The Berg Fashion Library includes information related to fashion and dress studies in the form of e-books, reference works, and images. It includes the Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion online, a 10-volume set updated twice a year. Other resources contained in this collection are approximately 60 e-books, including A-Z of Fashion and the Dictionary of Fashion. Over 3,000 color images are also part of this database, which may be searched by place, time period, theme, textiles, and more.

Criminal Justice Abstracts™
Comprehensive coverage of international journals, books, governmental, and non-governmental reports, dissertations, and unpublished papers on virtually any topic in criminal justice, criminology, and related disciplines. These indexes and summaries cover crime trends, crime prevention and deterrence, juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, police, courts, punishment, and sentencing.

Educational Administration Abstracts
Educational Administration Abstracts covers areas related to educational administration, educational leadership, educational management, educational research, and similar topics. The index contains nearly 200,000 records from the most important sources within the discipline, such as Educational Administration Quarterly, Review of Higher Education, Journal of Educational Administration, etc.

Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide™
Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide is the most comprehensive resource on wildlife information, including sources published from 1935 to the present. It includes the information formerly included in Wildlife Review Abstracts, a publication of the U.S. National Biological Service. Major topic areas include studies of individual species, habitat types, hunting, economics, wildlife behavior, management techniques, diseases, ecotourism, zoology, taxonomy, and much more. The database currently contains 1.6 million citations and approximately 18,000 more are added each year.

Urban Studies Abstracts
Urban Studies Abstracts covers essential areas related to urban studies, including urban affairs, community development, urban history, and other key areas with coverage back to 1973. It contains the most important sources within the discipline, including Urban Affairs Review, Urban Studies, Journal of Urban Affairs, etc.

The Mardigian Library has free trial offers for the video collections/databases listed below. They will be available through May 14, 2011.

Counseling and Therapy in Video: Volume II
The two volumes of Counseling and Therapy in Video provide one of the largest online collections of videos available for the study of social work, psychotherapy, psychology, and psychiatric counseling. This current release includes 143 videos totaling 116 hours.

Classical Scores Library

Jazz Music Library

American History in Video
Provides the largest and richest collection of videos available online for the study of American history. British and Irish Women's Letters and Diaries
British and Irish Women's Letters and Diaries includes the immediate experiences of approximately 500 women, as revealed in over 90,000 pages of diaries and letters. The collection also includes biographies and an extensive annotated bibliography of the sources in the database.
