Dohoy Jung, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering received two grants totaling more than $137,000 from Hyundai-Kia Motors. This award will provide two visiting scholars from Hyundai Kia Motors with training and research experiences focused on automotive transmission and valve system engineering.

Alan Argento, professor, Mechanical Engineering received a $12,000 Research Experiences for Undergraduates grant supplement from the National Science Foundation. This will enable two undergraduate students to learn a variety of research methodologies, laboratory techniques, experimental procedures, and research strategies in a collaborative interdisciplinary research environment.

Ann Lampkin-Williams, Assistant to the Chancellor for Inclusion received an $11,331 grant from the State of Michigan Strategic Fund. This will provide funds to supplement the GEAR UP grant.
