Anthropology Online

Anthropology Online is a comprehensive resource for the study of human culture and behavior that provides anthropologists, sociologists, and cultural historians with an expansive and multifaceted survey of the discipline.
Cambridge Books Online
Dates available: through March 9, 2012
Cambridge Books Online offers access to e-books, covering subjects from all disciplines across science, technology and medicine, as well as humanities and social sciences.
Classic Mexican Cinema
Dates available: through March 31, 2012
The database documents Mexican cinema from its beginning in the nineteenth century up through the "Golden Age" ending in 1960. It includes several important periodicals in full-text-- El Cine Gráfico, Cine Mundial, Cinelandia, Cinema Reporter, and El Mundo Ilustrado -- as well as movie posters and leaflets, and items from the personal collection of the filmmaker Fernando de Fuentes.

E-Book Updates
Additions to Brepolis Databases
Full text access to 301 new titles, including e-book versions of collected essays in medieval studies published by Brepolis, 1998-present, is now available. The collection will grow annually by approximately 50 e-books. Subjects covered include: medieval archaeology, art and architecture, cultural studies, history of music, history of science, language and literature, manuscript studies, general medieval studies, philosophy, religion, and social and economic history. All content is indexed in the Brepolis International Medieval Bibliography (IMB) accessed through the Brepolis Databases link.
Institution of Engineering and Technology e-books are now accessible through IET Digital Library. The collection includes over 300 titles in the fields of circuits & devices, control engineering, electrical technology, electromagnetic waves, history of technology, manufacturing, power & energy, professional applications of computing, navigation & avionics, renewable energy, and telecommunications.
NOTE: IET journals, magazines, and conference papers are not available through the IET Digital Library; they continue to be available through IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

GBI Research: Global Business Intelligence
A resource containing reports on new markets and emerging issues in industries such as chemicals, clean technology, medical equipment, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, power, and semiconductors.
This combination of two well-known databases, South African Studies and African Studies, includes nearly two million records from Africa, Europe, and the U.S. It provides citations for articles, books, newspapers, government documents, radio and TV broadcasts, pamphlets, maps, theses, and music recordings. Topics covered include politics, history, economics, business, mining, natural sciences, environment, development, social issues, anthropology, literature, language, law, music, tourism, and more.
AgeLine
AgeLine, produced by AARP, focuses on issues related to aging and the population 50 and over. AgeLine includes aging-related content from the health sciences, psychology, sociology, social work, economics, and public policy. Over 600 journals, books, book chapters, reports, dissertations, consumer guides, and educational videos are indexed.
Bibliography of English Women Writers, 1500-1640
This database provides a comprehensive guide to the writings of 738 English women writers from the 16th and 17th centuries, along with related scholarship and criticism. It includes familiar figures (e.g., Elizabeth Tudor and Mary Stuart) as well as lesser-known writers. It is searchable by writer name and genre, as well as full text.
CrimeSolutions.gov
CrimeSolutions.gov is a guide to what works in criminal justice, juvenile justice, and crime victim services in the United States. Effectiveness of programs is reviewed and rated by CrimeSolutions.gov researchers and reviewers, using a simple ranking system of “Effective”, “Promising”, or “No Effects”.
