OMI is partnering with the Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO) on Detroit’s east side this summer to facilitate a series of career skills and leadership development workshops geared toward youth participating in the Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT) program, an initiative of Mayor Mike Duggan. GDYT is a 6-week summer youth employment program that combines work readiness training with on the job experience to prepare Detroiters age 14-24 for the workforce. The GDYT program runs from July 10th through August 25th. OMI is collaborating with nonprofit organizations and individuals across the region with expertise in these areas to create a strong network in support of young adults.
