Nominations sought for Chancellor's Staff Recognition Awards

April 2, 2013

Nominations now are being accepted for the annual Chancellor’s Staff Recognition Awards Program. These awards recognize individual staff members and a staff team who have performed beyond expectation, making exceptional efforts toward achieving the mission of the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

The awards categories are: Exceptional Service, Exceptional Performance, Outstanding Service to the Metropolitan Community and University, Exceptional Long-Term Achievement and Exceptional Team Award.

“UM-Dearborn staff members believe in the mission of the university and work hard to strengthen the campus and the community,” said Jon Larson, co-chair of the awards committee. “The Chancellor’s Staff Recognition Awards are a way for us to give back to the staff and promote a work environment where staff achievements are continuously recognized.”

Any regular staff member of UM-Dearborn who has completed the six-month probationary period is eligible to be nominated. The specific award criteria and nomination forms may be found on the Chancellor’s Staff Recognition Awards website.

Nominations will be accepted through June 12, 2013. Awards will be presented at the annual Chancellor’s Staff Recognition Awards ceremony on Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Fairlane Center North Building – Quad E.

Last year’s winners included Lori Petrick (Exceptional Service), Debalina Bandyopadhyay (Exceptional Performance), Kathleen Herr (Exceptional Long-Term Achievement) and the Facilities Management (Exceptional Team Award).
