Chris Samfilippo, Lecturer of Marketing at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. He holds an M.B.A. in Marketing and a B.A. in Journalism from Wayne State University in Detroit. Chris is the founder of MarketSpark!, a marketing communications firm specializing in startup ventures. Clients have included NRG Dynamix, Inc. a developer of innovative hydraulics products and Cargo Solutions, LLC, maker of Bastille Systems, a unique two-part storage compartment for domestic truck beds. Chris has taught internationally, lecturing on relationship management in Uzbekistan, branding in Libya, and supply chain management in Jordan.
He is the director of the UM-D's International Summer Program in Management—an Italian/American exchange program—and is a voting member of The College of Business Governing Faculty. He is also faculty advisor for the UM-D chapter of The American Marketing Association and sits on the board of AMA-Detroit.
Much of Chris’ marketing experience comes from his 10 years with Alpha Omega Communications, a Detroit-based advertising agency, where he served as account manager on the Ford Commercial Truck Account.
