Susan Gedert, B.A.

Susan Gedert has enjoyed working for the University of Michigan-Dearborn, specifically CASL Administration, for over 30 years.  During 20 of those years, she worked with the CASL Alumni Affiliate, raising over $200,000 in scholarship funds for CASL students.  In 2017, Sue was named as CASL’s Marketing and Digital Content Specialist, overseeing the College’s marketing and communication efforts, social media initiatives, webpage development, and undergraduate research conferences. 

Sue is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She is an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines, the Detroit Tigers, professional tennis and the Broadway stage!  She enjoys her “Bad Girls” book club and helping raise money for the Dearborn Animal Shelter and the Sparky Anderson "CATCH" foundation.

In 2022, Sue and her husband Steve endowed the "Susan and Stephen Gedert Scholarship for CASL Student Assistants," a fund to assist CASL students who work as student assistants on the UM-Dearborn campus.

Two Chancellor Staff Recognition Awards: 

• Team award for "Bring Your Child to Work Day" (2006)
• Team award for "On the Move" (2008)

And multiple UM-Dearborn "U Make a Difference" awards and CASL "Staff Recognition" awards.
