THE DEARBORN DIFFERENCE RESEARCH: Education doesn’t happen only in the classroom. At UM-Dearborn, graduate students lead and work on groundbreaking, socially relevant research projects. Diverse student groups work in state-of-the-art laboratories and collaborate with industry leaders and esteemed faculty to solve real-world problems. CORPORATE/INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS: We leverage our relationships with hundreds of corporate and community partners to offer recruiting events, applied research activities and opportunities to build mutually beneficial partnerships between the university and industry partners. Some of our corporate partners include Beaumont Health-Oakwood, Bosch, DENSO International America, Deloitte, DTE Energy, Ford Motor Co., General Motors, Quicken Loans and ZF/TRW. FACULTY: Our faculty members come from respected universities and doctoral programs across the country and are nationally recognized in the areas they teach. They are connected with indus- try, which allows students the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research opportuni- ties and navigate Michigan’s local and global network of professionals, many of whom want to hire from our pool of experienced graduates.
