Faculty and Staff Counseling and Consultation Office

University of Michigan's Faculty and Staff Counseling and Consultation Office services include:

  • Short term counseling services to all staff, faculty, and their immediate family members on personal, emotional, family and workplace issues
  • Critical Incident, Trauma and Grief Counseling

These services are free of charge and confidential.

To obtain a FASCCO appointment, please call 734-936-8660 or email fascco@umich.edu. The main office is located at the Central Campus Office, 1009 Greene St. (Near U of M Football Stadium), 2076 Administrative Services Building in Ann Arbor. FASCCO offers a number of services designed to help active or retired staff and faculty members and their immediate adult family members with personal difficulties encountered at both work and home. All FASCCO services are free of charge. The professional staff at FASCCO adhere to the ethical principles and licensure requirements of their respective professions. We strongly protect client confidentiality except where it is legally limited (such as in child/elder abuse cases or threats of harm). A full explanation of confidentiality is available at the FASCCO offices. Please note that if Ann Arbor is too far to travel, there may be other referral options available closer to the Dearborn area that can be obtained by contacting FASCCO.
