Greek Life Programs and Traditions

Our fraternities and sororities sponsor the following programs throughout the year to support the growth and development of both the community and the student leaders.

Philanthropy Week

National Philanthropy Day is recognized annually on or around November 15. Greek Life coordinates a week of activities to recognize, celebrate, and further a few of the philanthropic partnerships we have within our campus and local community - programming will involve advocacy and awareness initiatives, hands-on service, and fundraising. UM-Dearborn Greek Life is proud to partner annually with the UM-Dearborn Student Philanthropy Council to present Philanthropy Week.

Philanthropy Week 2017 will take place November 13-17.

Greek Life Info Night

At the beginning of each semester, all of our fraternities and sororities gather to share the benefits and opportunities of membership within Greek Life organizations. The evening includes a slideshow, panel discussion and individual displays for potential new members to learn more about how to join our community.

Greek Life Info Night will take place on Tuesday, September 12 in Kochoff Hall from 6-8 pm.

Greek Week

Greek Week is a week-long celebration for the social fraternities and sororities on campus. This week allows members of each chapter to come together and celebrate the spirit of being a Greek member and to show off their Greek pride.  Members participate in various competitions and events to raise money for charity.
