Orientation is an three-hour event that provides an introduction to the campus community and its resources. You will be able to meet other incoming and current students, your academic advisor, register for classes, and know that UM-Dearborn is the right place for you to continue your education. You will also take a photo for your MCard student ID, and pick up your parking permit.
Winter 2016 orientation registration will be available in September. View the upcoming dates.

The Transfer Success Seminar and New Student Convocation will take place on September 8, 2015, the day before classes begin, with registration taking place this summer. The Student Success Workshop starts your day and Convocation caps it off!
The Student Success Workshop is a series of sessions designed to give you the academic and social edge. Convocation is your formal welcome to the UM-Dearborn community similar to how commencement is your formal farewell when you graduate with your Michigan degree. This day allows you to meet fellow students, the faculty, and set your new academic career at UM-Dearborn off the best way possible!
