Anthony Luckett

Anthony Luckett is a Teaching Professor and Lecturer IV in Journalism and Media Production, the Internship Program in Humanities and History, and African & African American Studies at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, his Alma Mater. He received the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award in 2007 and Lecturer of the Year in 2016. Anthony also holds a Master’s Degree in Film Studies from Wayne State University. He was featured in the 11th annual Pan-African Film Festival for his film, Beautiful, in 2002 and was a Top 30 Finalist in the 2^nd Annual American Gem Short Script Writing Contest in 2004 for his screenplay, So Red the Rose. Anthony has written several screenplays and has directed some short films, and he is an Associate Producer in the Television Ministry of Word of Faith International Christian Center in Southfield, MI. He is also on the Board of Trustees for the Robert A. Leonard, Jr. Charitable Trust, established to provide financial assistance to high school students entering college.
