Biography and Education
John Artis is a Lecturer II in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. He has been an educator, administrator, consultant, and college adjunct professor for 50 years. His experiences include service as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, high school principal, and an international educational consultant.
Dr. Artis teaches a variety of graduate level classes including School Law, Human Resource Administration, Educational Finance, Strategic Planning and Assessment, Educational Leadership, Curriculum Leadership, The School Superintendent, Educational Policy, and Educational Foundations. Dr Artis also teaches an undergraduate class regarding Educational Foundations.
He serves on a number of doctoral committees for those seeking their doctorate. Dr. Artis is also an author and an educational consultant.
