Biography and Education
Mike Callahan, Director of Internship/Career Planning and Development Program and Lecturer of Project Management and Career Planning and Development courses at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. In this role he works with employers to develop challenging internship and job placement opportunities for Graduate and Undergraduate students in the College of Business and then works with the students to help them develop the Skills and Knowledge, Track Record and Relationship skills necessary to help them launch viable careers. Mike has been in this position since July of 2005. He is also on the adjunct faculty staff at the University of Michigan–Dearborn.
Before coming to UM-Dearborn, Mike supported the Entrepreneurship Institute at Oakland University for 2 years. Prior to that assignment he provided project management consulting support to Ford Motor Company in the successful implementation of a new Parts Distribution Warehouse Strategy for their North American Operations. Mike spent 25 years with EDS in various project management roles. He was Director of Human Resources for Latin America for 3 years as well as holding different Account and Regional Manager jobs in support of General Motors and EDS' Base Business Accounts. He obtained his MBA from Eastern Washington State College in 1976 and has continued to pursue personal development strategies in the areas of Project Management, Human Resource Development and Career Planning and Development.
