About

Montaha Macany earned her master and doctorate degrees from the Victoria University of Manchester /England in 1981 and 1984 respectively. She received her B.SC from University of Basrah /Iraq in 1976. She joined the University of Michigan-Dearborn for one year as a visiting assistant professor in 2002. She continued teaching as an adjunct until 2009 when she was hired as a Lecturer III, promoted to lecturer IV in 2013.

Before joining the University of Michigan-Dearborn, she taught at different schools in Michigan (University of Detroit Mercy, M.SC Mechanical Engineering on site program at Ford Motor company, Lawrence Technological University and Oakland community college). Before that, she taught in England, Iraq and Jordan.
