I have been teaching at the University for 26 years and love interacting with students and getting them excited about science. Science Education has a huge impact as future teachers become confident with science and want to use best practices in their science teaching. My greatest joy is watching students go from disliking science to loving it. Science is something students do, not something that is done to them so in my classes we use inquiry based lessons where students construct their own learning. I want to develop citizen scientists in my classes so we are better off as a society. I love sharing my love of science with my students.
