Tom Deska, Lecturer of Marketing at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. He holds an M.A. in Advertising and a B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University. Prior to joining the UM-Dearborn faculty, Tom worked in business for over 30 years focused on developing strategic plans, creating engaging marketing programs, and managing global business.
He has deep credentials across numerous product categories, for goods and services, B2B and B2C, domestically and internationally. His activities took him to over 30 countries in all regions of the world.
Tom held executive positions at several global advertising and marketing agencies including BBDO Worldwide as Executive Director–International, FCB Worldwide as Managing Partner, as well as Chief Operating Officer at PALS International, a language and cultural training company.
Some of his key brand responsibilities included Jeep, Hershey, Johnson & Johnson, Dodge, Visa, Delphi, SC Johnson, Pontiac and Cadillac, among others.
