SOAR provides a wide range of Support, Opportunities, Advocacy, and Resources for adult learners with financial need pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. Whether returning to school change careers, advance in your current career, improve economic prospects, finish what you started long ago, or be one of the first in your family to earn a Michigan degree, SOAR can help you achieve your goals.
Beginning Fall of 2025, with new grant funding through the Dearborn Adult Success Initiative (DASI)—a partnership between the Office of the Provost and the Diploma Equity Project —we are able to serve even more newly enrolled adult learners. All adult learners, whether part of SOAR or DASI, have full access to the same SOAR services and community. In addition, DASI students benefit from an additional success coach who supports their transition and journey at UM-Dearborn.
