1. Where is the internship office located?

The Humanities/ History Internship Office is located at 3028 CASL Building. We are down the hall from the writing center.

2. What do I need to get started?

To get the process started for your internship, you should stop by the office with your complete application and a copy of your resume. If you are interested in an internship that requires writing, you should bring several writing samples as well.

3. Are these internships paid?

All of our internships are unpaid. Interns receive academic credit for a combination of attending the seminar and field work.

4. Can I set up my own internship?

We encourage students to make their own connections. However, the student setting up their own internship must provide the Internship Office with the placements name, phone number and email address. This will allow us to create a placement file for the company so that the student can receive academic credit.

5. Can I receive credit for an internship that I have already completed?

Sorry, we cannot award retro-active credit.

6. Why can't I register for Hum/Hist 485 on the web?

Registration for the internship requires an override form available in the internship office. The completed override form then needs to be submitted, in person, to enrollment services in the University Center for registration.
