The University of Michigan-Dearborn values the role high school counselors play in assisting students on their journey to higher education and is here to support you. We appreciate the vital role high school counselors and college advisors play in helping students consider their options for continuing their education. This website provides information regarding admission to the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and resources to help you guide your students toward their future.

Your students will be able to thrive in our inclusive campus community. We keep classes small so professors will know your students by name. And, students can gain valuable experience beyond the classroom in research projects, co-ops, and internships. With 150 student organizations, athletics, and numerous events around campus, your students will be able to gain the momentum for a great future.

Dual Enrollment

On April 3, 2024 a virtual Dual Enrollment information session was held. This session was designed for high school sophomores and juniors interested in learning more about taking Dual Enrollment Courses at the University of Michigan-Dearborn during the 2024-2025 school year. More information about course opportunities, admissions criteria, application process, and available scholarships for prospective dual enrollment students was discussed. Watch the April 3, 2024 Virtual Dual Enrollment Session

Dual enrollment provides an excellent and affordable opportunity for high school and homeschooled students with demonstrated academic potential to enroll in select UM-Dearborn courses while completing their high school graduation requirements.

Admitted Dual Enrollment students will receive a scholarship that covers 50% of dual enrollment tuition and fees--and are often granted additional funding from their school district to make it an even more affordable option. Our Dual Enrollment students earn college credit and are afforded all of the same resources and privileges as degree-seeking students.

Prospective Student Events

You and your students are invited to learn more about UM-Dearborn and interact with campus through participating in our virtual and in-person, upcoming prospective and admitted student events. 

Scheduling Group Tours

We are currently able to offer limited on-campus group visits for middle-school and high-school aged students. Please note that we require at least 2 weeks notice in order to ensure appropriate staffing and space reservations.
