According to recent rankings by U.S. News & World Report, COB is the top-ranked university in the state of Michigan and ranks 38 nationally for “Best Online Graduate Business Programs (excluding MBA).” The college’s online MBA program ranks third in the state and 57 nationally.

“It’s always exciting to be recognized on a national scale for providing students with excellent graduate programs,” said Raju Balakrishnan, dean of COB. “The College of Business understands the importance of developing flexible programs that offer students a quality education, while preparing them for successful careers in business.”

UM-Dearborn’s College of Business is home to several nationally recognized programs, where students gain valuable hands-on experience, while working alongside faculty members and business professionals.

The new honors add to the college’s list of national recognitions in recent years. In October, Princeton Review ranked COB a best business school for the sixth consecutive year.

U.S. News & World Report based the online graduate programs rankings on statistical data provided by the participating institutions, as well as a peer assessment that asked business school deans and top distance-learning, higher-education academics to rate the other programs. For the 2015 rankings, U.S. News decreased the emphasis on admissions selectivity and peer reputation, while increasing the weight of student engagement, faculty credentials and training, as well as student services and technology.
