The publication recognized UM-Dearborn’s College of Business (COB) for having the second best part-time M.B.A. program in Michigan in its “Best Graduate Schools” edition released this week.
“More and more students are turning to part-time M.B.A. programs these days as a way to fit graduate education in their already-demanding lives,” said COB Dean Raju Balakrishnan. “We’re excited to be ranked among the top part-time M.B.A. programs in the nation. Our faculty and staff will continue their hard work of building on our strengths to improve the already-successful program.”
UM-Dearborn also jumped 14 spots in this year’s national ranking, according to U.S. News & World Report. This marks the fourth year in a row that U.S. News & World Report has recognized UM-Dearborn’s part-time M.B.A. program.
The publication based its rankings on a fall 2012 peer assessment survey that asked business school deans and M.B.A. program directors at each of the nation’s 325 part-time M.B.A. programs to rate the other programs. Programs then were ranked on their average peer assessment score.
In January, U.S. News & World Report also recognized COB for having one of the nation’s top 25 online business programs. In a separate ranking, The Princeton Review recognized COB as a “Best Business School” for the fourth year in a row.
