New students were welcomed to UM-Dearborn during the campus's annual New Student Convocation, which took place on Sept. 7, the day before classes began.
The formal convocation ceremony in the Fieldhouse included remarks by Chancellor Daniel Little, Provost Kate Davy and Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Student Life, Stanley Henderson, among others. The ceremony was followed by an ice cream social for the new students, their parents and participating faculty and staff.
