That connection is sure to benefit Simpson as she works to build a culture of philanthropy across campus, while developing strategic goals and objectives for the department, engaging alumni at all levels and maintaining strong ties with university donors.
Simpson brings a wealth of development leadership experience to UM-Dearborn, having most recently served as associate vice president and chief development officer at Northern Illinois University (NIU). There, she also served as president and CEO of the NIU Foundation.
Simpson also spent more than 15 years working in alumni relations, development leadership and corporate and foundation relations for UM-Ann Arbor. There, she earned a master’s degree in education administration.
“I am confident that Mallory’s extensive leadership experience, as well as her knowledge of our university community, make her the right choice to lead our institutional advancement team,” said UM-Dearborn Chancellor Daniel Little.
